In his early years, Jack and his brother Vatche, practically grew up in their fathers’ jewelry store learning the trade from their teen years. After apprenticing in Paris, France for a year and working in Africa for a year, Jack moved to Los Angeles in 1980. Once in Los Angeles, he began by designing jewelry for private customers and high-end jewelry stores. In 1982, Jack opened Jack’s Jewelers, a jewelry studio and retail boutique, in Santa Monica, California.

“Jack is a true jeweler and amazing designer. I have been to Jack for 2 custom pieces and both turned out beautifully. I had quite a few pieces of fine jewelry I had not worn in years, and spent months designing a one of a kind piece. Jack worked with me every step of the way once I brought the design to him. He is very direct, honest and tells you exactly what will and won't work, and provides great ideas and feedback. The craftsmanship of his jewelry is amazing! Jack is a honest, straight-forward, no-nonsense kind of guy that I trust to give me real advice and help (something rare in many jewelry shops). I bought my wife's engagement ring and wedding ring (both custom designed and made by Jack) and my wedding ring, as well. I even have gone back for some beautiful diamond earrings.
